Mid-Autumn Festival Invitation — October 5, 2025 (Saturday)

Dear friends, greetings to you all!

Through the long years of the pandemic, we wondered when the heavy clouds would fade.In 2023, a new chapter finally began. In 2024, we stepped out from the shadows, slowly learning to live beneath blue skies again. Now it is 2025 — let us lift our spirits, and restore the bright, sunlit gatherings we once knew.

On the morning of October 5, Saturday, KCS Chinese School will host a grand Mid-Autumn reunionat Tom Sawyer Park. “The bright moon rises above the sea; though far apart, we share this moment together.” Bring your family, invite your neighbors, and join us for this long-awaited celebration of togetherness.

You need bring no food —Mr. Jason Xu of Sunshine Realtyhas generously supported our school.

You need bring no food — our Chinese restaurant entrepreneurswill provide a delicious Chinese feast, free for all.

All we ask is that you come safely, come happily,taste the flavors, share warm conversations,greet one another, wish health for our children, strength for ourselves, prosperity for America, and an even brighter tomorrow for all.

You may, however, bring:

If you have an erhu, play “Moon Reflected on Second Spring”;

If you have a flute or xiao, play “The Smiling Proud Wanderer”;

If you have a guzheng, play “High Mountains, Flowing Water”;

If you have a suona, play “Loess Plateau”;

If you have a guitar, strum “Carmen”;

If you have a violin, play “Gypsy”;

If you have a saxophone, play “Going Home.”

When the children tire from play,when the elders rest from chatting, and friends have eaten and laughed their fill,we will part content, carrying joy home with us.

Dear friends, you should understand — these are not demands, but inspirations.

Bring the music you play best,the songs you sing most beautifully.

And if you have no instrument,do not worry — your clear, melodious voice is enough.Gift us with “When Will the Moon Be Clear and Bright,” and the night will be more radiant still.

Friends, we will also have riddles and brain teasers, perhaps even a beanbag toss.

Every participant will receive a small gift. Thank you for coming, thank you for sharing your talents — it is you who will make our Mid-Autumn Festival shine.
