Congratulations to Professor Ming Wu, Ms. Yinghao Dong, Ms. Ruiping Ou and Ms. Jinyu Hu for Receiving the Title of Outstanding Chinese Teacher in Kentucky!

Professor Wu has been teaching in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages at the University of Louisville since 2016 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. From 2022 to 2024, she served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Kentuckiana Chinese School and is currently a board member. Each year, she is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing major community events for the Chinese school, such as the annual Spring Festival Gala, the WorldFest Louisville International Cultural Festival, and celebrations for the Mid-Autumn Festival and Dragon Boat Festival.

MS. Yinghao Dong is a recipient of the Outstanding Talent in Dance Award in the United States and the founder of Spirit of Art Education Center. She has been teaching Chinese at Trinity High School in Louisville since 2018. In the same year, she also began teaching Ma Liping Chinese at the Kentuckiana Chinese School and has served as the Ma Liping Program Director since 2019.

Since 2018, Ms. Ruiping Ou has been teaching in Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) and has remained deeply committed to promoting Chinese language education, cultural exchange, and community collaboration. From 2022 to 2024, she served as a Chinese language teacher and program coordinator at Kentuckiana Chinese School, where she also participated in the planning and guidance of several after-school Chinese language programs. In June 2026, Ms. Ou became the Principal of Kentuckiana Chinese School.
Since 2015, she has organized, planned, and participated in numerous Chinese language and cultural activities throughout Louisville and surrounding communities, including Chinese conversation gatherings, Asian restaurant cultural experiences, and cultural programs at libraries, schools, and community organizations. She has also actively encouraged students, parents, and community members to participate in travel and cultural immersion programs in China, helping them develop a deeper understanding of the Chinese language and culture through real-world experiences.

Ms. Hu Jinyu has been serving as the IB Chinese teacher at Sacred Heart Model School in Louisville since 2018. From 2016 to 2018, she taught Ma Liping Chinese at the Kentuckiana Chinese School. Since 2019, she has been teaching both online and in-person Chinese courses at YangYang Chinese, where she served as Academic Director from 2020 to 2022. From 2023 to May 2026, she served as the Principal of Kentuckiana Chinese School.
